Bridal Appointment: Tips You Should Know Prior to Attending

The day you have long awaited is finally here! For all you bride-to-be’s we can’t wait to meet you and help you find THE ONE. As excited as we are for you to ‘Say Yes to the Dress,’ we have compiled a list of tips to prepare you for your bridal appointment. Our goal here at MK Bridal is to make this process as stress-free and enjoyable as possible and have you walking out our door with your dream dress!

Proper Shoes 

Wearing the proper shoes is a must when trying on wedding dresses. This gives your stylist more of an idea as to where the hem hits and how the dress fits your body. We recommend opting for slip-on shoes rather than strappy ones to make it easier to get in and out of dresses as quickly as possible. The shoes you bring don’t have to be the ones you will be wearing on your special day, but bringing your shoes during your appointment will get you closer to completing the bridal look! 

Proper Undergarments 

Stick to your comfiest nude undies as other colors such as black and pink will show through the dress. We want to be able to see the overall wedding day look without any distractions.
 

Bring a Hair Tie/Clip 

With so many hairstyles to choose from we propose you bring a hair clip or a hair tie in order to suit different bridal styles that you try on. Another thing to keep in mind is your hair may get in the way of viewing every detail of the dress so tying it up is best. 

Bring a Face Mask 

During these unprecedented times, we are taking every precaution to keep our staff and brides safe. We care for your safety and the safety of those around you so we ask that you and your guests please bring a face mask during your appointment. We are currently permitting 2 guests only for each party.

Doll Up 

We recommend looking your best as we know you will want to take pictures in your top picks to see the overall bridal look and after saying yes to the dress. When you look your best, you feel your best! 

No Fake Tan 

Stay away from fake tanning prior to your bridal appointment. We understand you may want to look like a golden goddess while trying on wedding dresses but this can rub off and stain our dresses. We thank you for understanding!
